AF Teens Take on World Hunger!!
On April 25-26, our teens will be joining other teens from our area to participate in the World Vision 30 Hour Famine which raises awareness and money to fight hunger both overseas and in the United States. During the 30 hours, teens will “BE HUNGRY” (the theme for this year’s Famine) by going without food for 30 hours to experience what so many children and families face every day. These teens will stop eating on Friday at 12 noon and will not eat again until Saturday at 6:00PM. They will also participate in learning experiences and perform hands-on community service projects during the weekend in order to make a difference in our own community as well. This is a dynamic opportunity to educate, stretch and expose our teens to how they can make a difference!
