Expectations for Adoptees:  Make time in your schedule to hang out with your adoptive family or mentor.

Expectations for Adoptors:  To seek out your student to find times that you can get together with them 3 or more times per semester. 

Examples of things to do:  have your student over for dinner, have them over for a movie, meet them to play basketball, go for a hike together, exterminate varmits on a Sunday afternoon, etc.
